ALTAIR is...

a folder gluer machine for corrugated and folding high grammage cardboard boxes.

This machine was created to process corrugated cardboard and is available in four sizes, meeting your needs and space availability: 170, 200, 240 and 290 cm.

HIGH QUALITY WORKMANSHIP

For more than two decades the brand ALTAIR has incorporated advanced technical solutions, focused to ensure high quality processing in folding and gluing corrugated boxes: N, F, E, B, C, A, K, EB, BC and BA flutes, and solid/compact (corrugated) carton from 500 to 1500 gsm. More than 100 Altair have been produced and today it is available in the GT version. Keeping the same name has strengthened the identity of a product that aims at excellence in corrugated box production and has been able to constantly improve and change while keeping up with innovation. Altair GT allows high speed productions (250 m/minutes), it is even safer for the operator and it is equipped with brand-new software, brand-new user interface and brand-new remote control.

FEEDING SECTION

Touch control station that allows the control of machine functions. Feeder with banks of independently motorised vacuum belts. Option for Nylon/Linatex belts. “Smart Feeding" functions to introducing blank with special shapes. Touch button to setting the feeding and running parameters.

CREASING GROUP

An optional module with double computer-controlled creasing cylinders on 3 axis enables all kinds of corrugated board thickness up to BC to be set with perfect folding accuracy.

E-COMMERCE MODULE

Optional passing section of e-commerce boxes equipped with enslavement for the application of adhesive tapes.

FOLDING MODULE

Section with three motorised conveyors with upper and lower motorised belts for folding front and back flaps of crash lock bottom or 4/6 corners boxes.

HIGH SPEED FOLDING MODULE

The optional presence of 4 brushless motors enables fast, precise and highly productive folding automatic crash lock bottom and 4/6 corners boxes. Touch control station that allows the control of machine functions. Brand new motors software to easily allow adjustment during production.

GLUING SECTION

A pneumatic bridge supports the glue group from the top of the machine. The bridge and all gun supports can be computerised to reduce set up times. Equipped with pressure tube pneumatic brake, collecting bowl, 700mm operator access on both sides and fixed walkways.

CLOSING SECTION

Three-conveyors section with independently motorised upper folding belts with a pair of built-in creasers. Containment leather belt and centre conveyor longitudinally displaceable. Lateral squaring unit and suction group are optional. Electronic control with photocells managing the spacing of the boxes has been included as standard.

PRESSURE ROLLERS

An optional module of computerised rollers enables to press the entire surface of glued boxes.

EXTRACTION MODULE

It is possible to eject the single blank from the line by extraction belts, for machines equipped with quality control.

OUTPUT AND PRESSING SECTION

Transfer section to the motorised pressure belt. Two overhead belts transport the blank under the pneumatic pressure section. An electropneumatic and spray counting system counts the processed boxes. An additional kicker and an additional pneumatic frontal squaring system help the correct gluing of crash lock bottom boxes before and at the pressure belt. A touch control station allows the control of machine functions, together with a radio frequency remote control. The entire section can be computerised to minimise changeover times. Electronic control with photocells managing the spacing of the boxes has been included as standard.

SAFETY BARRIERS AND ELECTRICAL PANEL AND TOUCH SCREEN

Altair is equipped with double safety barriers that can be deactivated on the left and right side to protect the operator, during the processing, from accidental contact with moving parts. Sirens, flashing lights, internal emergency buttons, a dedicated safety circuit and a range of safety functions make Altair a safe and functional product. The electrical and automation infrastructure is created for remote control for the purpose of troubleshooting and Industry 4.0 data exchange.
